Historic cradle of the art of incense in Japan, Awaji Island (淡路島) perpetuates this ongoing tradition by bringing together the finest producers of traditional incense of the Japanese archipelago. Holders of millenary know-how and using natural raw materials of the highest quality, these Masters of Incense, or Koh-shi, joined together to promote their products abroad. Metanoia Gallery is proud to have been chosen as the official representative in France of Koh-shi on the island of Awaji. A selection of their best incense is for sale at the gallery.
