This exhibition features the ongoing series “The Motherboard Project”, a series of nine interrelated bodies of paintings which are about interaction and identity. The painting called Motherboard (Korn) (2014) is changed and influenced during its creation by the smaller paintings, the “Takes”, of various sizes which are made by placing the blank canvas on different parts of the still-wet original. These impressions are not merely transferred copies but rather, they are further developed and invested with individuality. Each new painting takes on its autonomous status as it continues to be explored, its individual character slowly revealed
